Diddle Update

Diddle now has 7 teeth! He loves to feed himself which means we are having to get really creative with his foods. Last night was Tofu and Advacado for dinner. I turned my back for a second and he had smushed his bite size pieces and rubbed them all over his face. I could not find the camera to take a picture- but I assure you it was funny!

Wedding Updates...

It's been awhile since I posted anything about the wedding, so here are a few updates:
1) Dress has been purchased!
2) Decorations are sitting in a closet waiting for their debut.
3) Invitations to be order within the next few weeks.
4) Still searching for our Mexican dream honeymoon. (Not as much searching as waiting for cheap prices)

Less than 5 months to go!!!

Crying It Out

The past few weeks have brought many sleepless nights to the Dunfee/Crabtree household. My once perfect sleeper now rolls over and gets stuck resulting in a sleepwalking Mommy or Daddy staggering in to straighten things out. It's like having a new born all over again!

We were also having issues getting him to go to bed and decided to give the "cry it out" method a try. After two nights of this, I realized that the boy just wasn't ready to go to bed at 6:30 (his old bedtime). We have extended his bedtime to 8 thus no more issues getting him to go to bed. You live and you learn I guess.

Poop

I looked beside the chair today and found what I thought was a piece of poop. I screamed to Casey that the cat (Tina) had pooped in the house. I rationalized that she must be mad at us because of the baby and that she never gets any attention. I went to get the rubber gloves and TP to pick it up when I realized it was a piece of turkey burger (dinner 2 nights ago).

Poor Tina gets the blame for something that was Casey's fault.

Golf Attire

The new job requires me to purchase high end golf apparel for very rich people. A sleeveless women's shirt costs as much as $90 (retail)! There is not any part of me that can fathom purchasing a sleeveless cotton shirt for that price. I am so cheap I wouldn't even purchase the shirt at wholesale price (around $45). Of course not being in the golf industry, these are brands I have never heard of...seriously though. A shirt that expensive to play 2 hours of golf in?! I just don't get it. My fiance had to talk some sense into me saying "These people are not clearance shoppers like you. They have money to burn and do not hesitate to pay full price for something they want."
Here are some of the brands in our shop: Lija, Tehama, EP Pro, Jamie Saddock, Walter Genuin, and Fairway & Green. Thoughts anyone???? (Some of it is HIDEOUS!!!!)

Bargain Safety

A few months ago, I found a Britax carseat at Target for 30% off. I thought I was getting the deal of the century! Britax is the #1 rated carseat in most baby publications. A few weeks later- I found a better version for 75% off!!! It's a good thing I have a sister with twins....They had exactly 2 left. A $279.00 carseat for a mere $68.oo each. Like I said before- others reap the benefits of my bargain shopping.

Lazy

Well, I guess I will never be an infamous blogger since I can't seem to update it. Between a new job and a baby that is getting more fun to play with every day- I can't find time to write a post.

NEW JOB!!!!

I start my new job at Kenwood Country Club tomorrow. I am excited, but a little nervous. Can't wait to get all my golf attire. I have always loved plaid!

More Teeth!

Tooth number 3 is on it's way. I can see it just below the surface of the gums. I finally wisened up and got some Baby Orajel today....after waking up at least once an hour last night to my baby wimpering.
He is going to have a toothy grin just in time for his 6 month pictures next weekend.

First Tooth!!

Diddle has his first tooth at 5 months old! I first noticed it today and shouted excitedly to Casey (who wasn't near as thrilled and intrigued as I was). This explains his weird sleeping patterns that started to develop last week. (note: this is not Diddle's photo. It is a google image I pulled off the internet. My baby is much more difficult to photgraph.)

Mr. Personality

In the past few weeks I have really notice Diddle developing his own distinct personality. Here are a few of my favorite things he does...
1) He gets REALLY angry with the sheep on his exersaucer. I think it's because he can't get it into his mouth, but it sounds like he is yelling at the poor sheep. He stares at it and yells with a very frustrated and angry look on his face.
2) When you put him in his pumpkin seat he arches his back and scoots making it very difficult to buckle him. He has always hated that seat so it figures that he would find a way to prevent getting strapped in once he built up the muscle.
3) He loves to be around people. He is definitely not one of those finicky babies that cries when a new person holds him. He likes to get to know new people and will inspect their face as they hold him. He also loves going to the mall and cruising around in his stroller taking in the sights of the shoppers. I think he is going to be a people watcher just like his mom.

Somedays I look at him and can't believe that he is growing and developing so quickly. It seems like just yesterday he couldn't reach his little arm above his head to touch the toys hanging above his mat. Now he can grab them and pull them right to his mouth.
